September Round Up!
Nov 02, 2021It’s that time again! Time for the monthly round-up where I detail all of my favorite new items of the month, dive into what I’ve been reading/working on, and shout out my all-time fave workout gear pieces! And holy shit the last 2 months were so crazy we are combining September and October into one DOOZY of a roundup! SO MANY awesome finds for y’all that I am sitting here wondering how I lived without these before....(and you will too!) Plus a couple of these items the company was nice enough to give me a code to give you guys so you can save your $$$.
These last 2 months were our official toe-dip into the cozy fall season (which was OBVI from this round up) and I am in the midst of creating some new habits for myself! But more on that later…
Let’s just jump right in shall we?
- First up is my FAVE amazon find of the month...and to be completely honest this company actually reached out to me looking for a partnership. And as you guys know I’m a bit of a Cynical Sally when it comes to promoting brands on my social platforms because I am super picky...and would never recommend something that I am not 100% obsessed with myself. I said I would be happy to try them out but couldn’t guarantee anything...well...much to my surprise they were awesome...they were actually more than awesome. Clocking in at less than $25 these are the best leggings I have ever ordered from amazon. No top seam on the waistband, incredibly soft while still being supportive, they don't roll down. I'm telling you they are a 10/10. They also sent this sports bra and while it is super cute it was not super supportive making it a lounge/yoga reserved bra which isn’t such a bad thing, but if I were to go running in this thing...hide yo kids...hide yo wives…. (p.s. I’m literally wearing the leggings while sitting in a coffee shop writing this up). They also make a line of leggings with pockets! Overall probably one of the better Amazon finds I've ever had.
Next up is Senita...a company I have admired for such a long time. Not only do they offer lulu quality at more affordable prices...they continue to remake their best sellers in new seasonal colors. They even have a whole line for moms from maternity to breastfeeding-friendly workout pieces...they are seriously amazing. Below are the pieces that I tried this month and they all blew me out of the water (especially those joggers!) Plus they were nice enough to give me a code to share with yall! Use code Heidi15 at checkout for 15% off for new customers! Shop all Senita's Amazing pieces here!
This is their Harmony Crop top, Easy going joggers, and their going places pullover!
Ok...y’all know that I am bike short obsessed...so much so that now I have categories of bike shorts in my drawer...I’ve got my perfect workout bike shorts, my long bike shorts, shorter bikes shorts but what I really wanted were some more loungy bike shorts for wearing while running errands or relaxing on the weekends. And holy smokes these bike shorts nailed it. They are thinner and less constricting than regular bike shorts without being see-through (nobody needs to see the goods while you’re running around Target). And they are straight up buttery soft and wash up great. (I had my doubts for SURE) I’m normally a size large in bike shorts and got a medium in these and they fit perfectly. Plus the 4 pack comes in a ton of color combos. Snag your 4 pack here!
Next is this long sleeve crop workout top. As the weather gets colder and I still want to walk or run in the mornings... it's already getting to be time to layer and this top is perfect on its own, or under a cropped sweatshirt, is so soft and has thumb holes. It's a 10/10, comes in a bunch of colors and is really affordable clocking in at $19.98 Snag yours here.
Ok you guys know I have to throw in a one-off random amazon find each month..and well this one IS IT! I got Gus this puzzle and it has been a perfect way to keep his mind stimulated and give us some quiet time at dinner when he usually wants to play. Obsessed is an understatement and Gus is obsessed too. If you have a dog this is such an awesome addition. I will def be getting him more puzzles in the future (they have lots of different levels of difficulty too) and it has been such a better investment instead of the toys that he rips apart in 5 seconds. Get your furry friend their very own puzzle HERE - P.S. it's on clearance for only $7.99 right now! regularly $25!
Now let's get into what I read this month:
I finished It Takes What it Takes and I stand by everything I said about it last month. If you struggle to control the negative narrative in your head, struggle with negative thinking, or just have trouble moving forward after having a mistake or slip up this is an awesome book for you!!! HIGHLY recommend it, Sam read it too and LOVES it. Get yours HERE.
Then I finished the Miricle Morning which I know has been floating around for a long time but I have been LOVING this new morning routine. The book itself was awesome and had a great perspective (I caught myself physically nodding YES! at least 20 times in this short book) But the actionable nature of how it is presented and how it leads to making an actual change instead of just padding your back pocket with more knowledge it was right up my alley. I’ve noticed more energy, better mood, greater focus just by implementing this new routine. - And while I am not yet perfect we are making progress towards earlier, more focused, more positive, and productive mornings! I’ll keep you updated with how it goes! But I need a buddy! Read this book and become miracle morning buddies with me!
These were a solid couple of months! I hope you treat yourself to a cute new workout piece or add one of these books to your collection. Can’t wait to see all the Holiday season finds I come across in November!
Cheers!
